This is an extraordinary trip as I planned to visit Manchester, but my friend happened to live in Ramsbottom, about an hour away from Manchester station. It was a pleasant surprise because it’s countryside.
I rode steam train for the first time here to Rawtenstall, where we hung around the city, got a cup of coffee at Illy’s in Whitaker Museum. We couldn’t visit too many places because we only had 3 hours, but it was a very interesting and relaxing journey.
