8 – 23 April 2013

This was a story of my first solo backpacking far away from home with my red 35lt backpack. I tried to prepare everything neatly that I would enjoy my trip in ease. Here are the general things I think I need to share for the intro.

BEFORE DEPARTURE and IN TRANSIT (skip to Japan Trip) (skip to South Korea Trip)

Visa

Since I live in Purwokerto, I chose to use travel agent service for my visa. Dealing with the traffic in Jakarta may have drained my energy and increased my traveling expenses.

It was a weird Spring. The temperature range was 3-18 degrees Celcius. A bit warm during the day, but can be extremely cold during the night. Strong wind and rain were unpredictable.

In Transit
LCCT Kuala Lumpur, approximately 4 hours. It’s quite small and almost nothing interesting to do. You can find Duty Free Shops, Money Changers (banks) with ATMs, a bookstore, coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries, and some rows of automatic massage chairs. You should try the massage chair. It’s addictive!!😀
